Feudi di San Gregorio, Campanaro DOC 2020

The wine has straw yellow colour. The aroma is rich with tints of mature pear, grapefruit followed by mint and honey. In taste the notes of wood and floral shades of hawthorn are noticeable. The longlasting aftertaste is expressed with fresh acid and mineral highlights.

Ideal to pair with grilled seafood, rabbit's meat and medium aged cheeses.

Grapes for production of "Campanaro" are harvested by hand in the second half of October. Then the berries are processed under a soft press. Fermentation of wine takes place in stainless steel vats at a temperature of 16-18°C.

The wine is aged on the lees, in large oak barrels for about 6 months.

The vineyards are located in Irpinia, at an altitude of 350 to 700 meters above sea level. 

Campanaro wine is created from the best grape varieties of the Campania region: Greco, which literally translates as "Greek" and excellent Fiano. These two varieties are harmoniously combined in ideal proportions, which gives "Campanaro" a special taste: soft and silky. The Greco di Tufo variety was known in antiquity as a sub-varietal of the Aminea grape.
